What is Theological Field Education?
Theological Field Education at the Vancouver School of Theology is a core component of the Master of Divinity and Master of Public and Pastoral Leadership degrees that combines in-class learning with a student-selected, supervised ministry placement.
In TFE, students engage in real-world ministry while reflecting intentionally on their experiences alongside mentors and faculty. This integration of theological insight and practical experience helps students develop professional skills, discern their ministerial identity, and grow as thoughtful, engaged, and generous leaders ready to serve both church and community.
